    Fantastic whip

    I noticed mixed reviews before purchasing and felt I should share my experience to clear things up a bit. I've been active in BDSM for several years and own a variety of floggers and whips, so I feel confident giving feedback on this one. The Cat O Nine from MEO arrived quickly here in Canada and was well-packaged. At first touch, the leather felt firm and somewhat stiff - but that's exactly how genuine, new leather should feel. Contrary to a negative review I saw earlier, there's nothing brittle or inferior about the quality. It only needed proper conditioning (like any real leather product), which made it beautifully supple and soft. I appreciate the craftsmanship; the handle is impeccably braided, feels solid in hand, and allows precise control during play. After a couple of conditioning sessions with leather oil, the whip quickly became even more flexible and has since become one of my favorites for both sensual teasing and more intense sessions. Leather products naturally improve and develop character over time, and this whip is no exception. Just remember: Quality leather gear isn't maintenance-free. If you care for it properly, it gets better with every use. Don't let negative comments discourage you. With proper care, this whip is absolutely top-notch and well worth the investment!

    Excellent Quality, Just Needs Proper Care!

    I was initially hesitant after reading a previous negative review mentioning dry and brittle leather, but decided to order anyway - and I couldn't be happier! The Cat-O' Nine whip exceeded my expectations in both craftsmanship and performance.

    First off, this flogger is beautifully handcrafted. The leather tails feel substantial and deliver exactly the right balance of sting and thud - perfect for both teasing and punishment sessions. Yes, the leather was a bit firm and dry when it first arrived, but that's common with authentic leather products and easily solved with a good leather conditioner. After proper care (which anyone who loves quality leather items should practice anyway), the whip quickly softened up, becoming supple, flexible, and incredibly enjoyable to use.

    Leather, especially genuine cowhide, becomes richer and more beautiful with time and proper maintenance. I've experienced no issues with uneven tails or brittleness. In fact, regular conditioning has made the leather even more supple and attractive than when it arrived. A quality whip like this isn't just a temporary toy - it's an investment that becomes more beautiful with each session.

    Bottom line: take care of your leather gear properly, and this whip will reward you for years to come. Highly recommended!

    Very poor quality

    The leather is very poor quality and extremely dry, papery, and brittle, making it too stiff and scratchy to use. The thickness of the leather is very uneven. The tails are all of different lengths, and the falls of different widths. The leather is so dry and brittle that several falls broke off while I was conditioning it in an attempt to revive the leather enough to be able to use it.

    At this price-point I do not expect premium craftsmanship, but I do expect decent quality leather and that for ex the tails are uniform in length and width. Even after multiple rounds of conditioning, it is still too stiff and brittle to use.
